Waymo's supply chain and manufacturing teams are making the cars of the future a reality. We handle all production processes and supplier development strategies: from contracts and purchasing, to designs for improved manufacturing, through quality control and delivery. We collaborate actively with Waymo engineering teams as well as external suppliers and partners to make sure everything is built to spec and delivered on time to meet the rising demands of our business.
Our manufacturing test engineering group provides technical support to Waymo’s self driving system production, especially in hardware troubleshooting, yield improvement, quality improvement and test station hardware/software development. In this position, you will have the opportunity to acquire in-depth hands-on knowledge of the self-driving hardware technology and to carry it from prototyping phase to volume production.
Google’s self-driving car project was part of Google [x] and has grown into an independent company, Waymo, under Alphabet. Waymo aims to improve people’s lives by transforming mobility and making it easier and safer for everyone to get around, regardless of their ability to drive.
So far, we’ve self-driven over 10 million miles and are currently out on the streets in various cities. We are in the exciting phase of making self driving cars widely available to the world and you can make direct impacts to make it happen.
