In this role, you’ll:

  • Design and implement changes to the existing staffing processes at Waymo to create a high velocity, repeatable staffing engine with quality and diversity & inclusion at its core
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development to members of the recruiting team 
  • Work closely with business leaders, HR business partners, and Finance to understand company growth targets and talent market landscape and build corresponding recruiting resourcing requirements and  staffing plans & strategies to meet expected growth
  • Build and share staffing metrics and reports with executive leadership and the staffing team at a defined cadence
  • Represent Waymo at relevant industry events and speaking engagements
  • Identify risks and trends within staffing process and talent markets to proactively suggest solutions or process improvements allowing for continued success in hiring

At a minimum we’d like you to have: 

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 15+ years of in-house, corporate recruiting experience in the technology sector
  • Demonstrated success in hiring, leading and managing teams of high-performing individuals
  • 5+ years recruiting experience within a high-growth environment, with an emphasis on working with technical leadership and hiring
  • 3+ years running recruiting metric and/or analytics on a recruiting processes
  • 5+ years leading staffing programs

It’s preferred if you have: 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships; an ability to identify and galvanize this complex web of relationships and dependencies to holistically solve problems and seize opportunities
  • Adept at influencing through strong relationships, expertise, and data. Ability to manage a complex set of stakeholders 
  • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done in tandem with participating in deeply complex strategy discussions 
  • Experience with the selection, implementation and evaluation of multiple recruiting tools and applicant tracking systems
  • Ability to work across technology industries (i.e. hardware, software, machine learning, robotics, etc.)
