Waymo Operations exists to deliver the Waymo Driver to the world. We are a global team building and scaling the world's first and leading autonomous fleet and operations platform. In this role, you'll:
- Lead projects answering the most critical strategic and operational questions related to the commercialization of Waymo’s physical operations
- Develop analytical frameworks and techniques to conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Collaborate closely with Operations leadership and senior leadership across Waymo, including Product, Finance, Partnerships, Global Places and Services
- Present and discuss recommendations with executives and senior leadership
- Lead short- and long-term target and resource planning for the Operations organization
- Drive the strategic transformation of Waymo Operations by (1) building strategic capabilities (2) supporting most critical executional projects
At a minimum we'd like you to have:
- 5+ years of work experience in a combination of strategy and operations or similar roles in tech companies, management consulting, investment banking etc.
- Distinctive problem structuring and create problem solving skills, turning ambiguous problems into clear frameworks, analyses and actionable plans
- Outstanding analytical aptitude, including financial modeling and data analysis, and business judgment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including ability to synthesize analysis into clear, concise presentations
- Strong cross-functional relationship building skills and comfort leading executive-level decision-making in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment
It’s preferred if you have:
- MBA or advanced degree in operations management
- Experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or strategy roles at mobility companies such as autonomous vehicles, bike/scooter/car-sharing, food delivery, ride-hailing
The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
