Welcoming Elisa de Martel, Waymo’s Chief Financial Officer

I’m so pleased to share that Elisa de Martel, a finance executive with 20+years of experience leading private and public companies, is joining Waymo as our Chief Financial Officer. Elisa brings powerful value to Waymo with her depth of financial leadership experience spanning both tech and traditional automotive industries. Elisa’s global, strategic perspective positions us well as we deploy and commercialize the Waymo Driver across multiple geographies and vehicle platforms.

Most recently, Elisa served as CFO for Carbon, a venture-backed 3D printing technology, where she was responsible for Carbon’s overall financial activities and global finance organization. Prior to joining Carbon, Elisa was with Apple for 11 years, where she served in a variety of financial roles, ending her run there as Director of Manufacturing Finance. Elisa earned a Master’s degree in Political Economy from the University of Essex, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the EDHEC Business School.
