Guidelines for Commercial Use of Waymo Brand Features

We consider our trademarks, logos, service marks, trade names, trade dress, designs, images, web pages, screenshots, and other distinctive features ("Waymo Brand Features" or "Brand Features") valuable assets.

These guidelines set forth the proper use of our Brand Features by our licensees, partners, collaborators, and other parties who obtained our consent to use Waymo’s Brand Features for commercial purposes. If you are seeking to make non-commercial or editorial use of Waymo’s Brand Features, please refer to our general guidelines here.

Unless you have obtained authorization, please refrain from making commercial use of the Waymo Brand Features without first requesting and receiving a written license from us to do so and please understand that Waymo reserves the right to withhold or withdraw permission to use its Brand Features in a commercial manner. If granted permission to use a Waymo Brand Feature, you agree to do so in accordance with our Terms & Conditions, and any written guidelines and other requirements provided to you. For example:

  • If you are a licensee of a Waymo Brand Feature and have been provided with special usage guidelines with your license agreement, please follow those guidelines. If your license agreement does not provide usage guidelines, then please consult the general guidelines here.

  • If Waymo provides written requirements (size, typeface, colors, etc.) to you at the time of granting approval for use, you must implement these requirements before using our Brand Features.  If we provide these requirements to you after we initially give our permission, you must implement these requirements within a commercially-reasonable timeframe.

If granted permission to make commercial use of a Waymo Brand Feature, you understand that permission is conditioned upon your use of the Waymo Brand Features in a manner consistent with the high reputation, image, value, quality, and goodwill related to Waymo and the Waymo Brand Features. To that end, you agree to cooperate with Waymo in facilitating Waymo’s control of the quality of the products and services offered by you in connection with the Waymo Brand Features. Upon reasonable notice, you will allow Waymo to inspect your use of the Waymo Brand Features to ensure material conformity with Waymo’s quality standards or any other specifications or requirements set forth by Waymo. You further agree to make any changes to your use of the Waymo Brand Features as may be reasonably requested by Waymo to comply with such standards, specifications, or requirements.
