Kevin Vosen is the Chief Legal Officer at Waymo, a self-driving technology company with a mission to make it safe and easy for people and things to get where they’re going.
In his role, Kevin is responsible for legal and insurance. Since Waymo’s inception, he has led all legal affairs for Waymo’s financing and corporate development transactions, worldwide commercial and strategic deals, all litigation and law enforcement matters, including matters related to Waymo's successful litigation against Uber, and regulatory compliance and product safety, security and privacy counseling within Waymo’s nascent and dynamic space. Kevin also leads development and enforcement of the company’s industry-leading IP portfolio and development of the company’s first-in-kind autonomous vehicle technology insurance underwriting, coverage and claims functions.
Prior to Waymo, Kevin held the role of Chief Legal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer at The Climate Corporation, an agricultural data-science software business that was acquired by Monsanto, where he led legal, finance and government relations. Prior to that, Kevin was the General Counsel of Broadlane, Inc. an Inc. 500 healthcare services and technology company. Previously, Kevin was an attorney at O’Melveny & Myers LLP and McCutchen Doyle Brown & Enersen LLP, where his work included corporate and securities transactions for emerging and mature technology and healthcare companies, venture funds and investment banks.
Kevin holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an A.B. from Duke University.
