The 2023 Waymo Open Dataset Challenges have concluded. We held four challenges involving our datasets. Check out the details below.
Please review the Waymo Open Dataset Challenges 2023 Official Rules. To participate, еvery member of each team must meet the eligibility requirements and agree to the Official Rules.
All four challenges closed on May 23, 2023 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
First place: $10,000 in Google Cloud credits and a certificate. Sponsor may also choose to publish the technical report of the first place submission.
Second and Third places: certificates and recognition on Challenge leaderboard. Sponsor may also choose to publish technical reports of second and third place submissions.
Additionally, teams with the best performing or noteworthy submissions may be invited to present their work at the Workshop on Autonomous Driving at CVPR in June 2023.
2D Video Panoptic Segmentation
Given a panoramic sequence of camera images across five cameras and over time, produce a set of panoptic segmentation labels for each pixel, where the instance labels are consistent across all images in the sequence.
Pose Estimation
Given one or more lidar range images and associated camera images, predict 3D keypoints for pedestrians and cyclists in the scene, up to 25m from the ADV.
Motion Prediction
Given the agent tracks for the past 1 second on a corresponding map and the associated lidar data for this time interval, predict the positions of up to 8 agents for 8 seconds into the future.
Sim Agents
Given the agent tracks for the past 1 second on a corresponding map, and optionally the associated lidar for this time interval, simulate 32 realistic joint futures for all the agents in the scene.
